Kevin joined Brown & Brown in August 2001, when Connelly Insurance Group, of which he was a shareholder, was purchased by Brown & Brown Insurance. Kevin began his insurance carrier in 1985 with Aetna Life & Casualty's Commercial Insurance Division in Baltimore Maryland; later joined General Rehabilitation Services, Inc. as their Atlanta Regional Director of Sales; finally returning to Clearwater and Connelly Insurance Group. He has been working with clients on all aspects of their commercial insurance needs and employee benefits programs for over 25 years. A Clearwater native, Kevin is a graduate of Clearwater High School, Saint Leo University, Aetna School of Insurance, Aetna Home office Sales Course and the Appalachian State University - Insurance Executive Program.

 Kevin has been active in the Clearwater Community since 1998 with such organizations as UPARC, Rotary Club of Clearwater (Board Member and Past President), Sun Coast Golf Charities, aka The Copperheads (Board Member since 1999), Bay Care Alliant Hospital, Town of Bellaire Recreation Board, Gulf Coast United Soccer Club (Coach/Board Member) and Bellaire Country Club. He is married to Charlene and has two sons, Sean and Corey.

John began his career in 1977 with the Shelton Copeland & Allen Agency in Clearwater and later joined the Aetna Casualty & Surety as a Commercial Underwriter.  He held various positions with the Aetna in Tampa and Dallas, Texas, but returned to Clearwater in 1988 to join the Connelly Insurance Group.  The agency was sold to Brown & Brown in 2001 and he has been active with the agency since that time. 

Overall it includes 35 years total with expertise in many areas. In addition to Underwriting and Marketing Positions with carriers, he has served as the Director of Workers Comp and the Sales Manager position for many years within the agency. He received the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 1988. 

John is a graduate of Berkeley Prep in Tampa and Stetson University.  He is active in his church and the community.  John, his wife and their grown children live in Sarasota.

Maureen brings 33 years experience to Brown & Brown Insurance - Pinellas. She began her career as an underwriter with Fireman’s Fund and Chubb Insurance company before joining the agency side of the business. Maureen is a team player and a problem solver. She specializes in the strategic planning and implementation of insurance programs for property

owners in the Tampa Bay area as well as throughout the country.

Her Real estate book of business includes  4 million square feet of retail, 1.5 million of office and 10,000 residential units.

William is a veteran insurance professional with a strong background in Property & Casualty Insurance, Employee Benefits and Life insurance.  After graduation from college he ran a successful family business before joining the Insurance industry in 1993.

William specializes in churches, educational institutions, manufacturers, condominium associations and contractors. He has extensive industry expertise in coverage analysis, risk management, employee benefits, contract negotiations with locally owned and publicly traded companies at a regional and national level. He provides extensive account servicing, working closely with other business segments including Claims, Marketing, Loss Control and Accounting to guarantee a high quality of service for his clients. Since he has a strong commitment to client relationships he consistently maintains better than a 95% account retention annually.  

He is a graduate of Clearwater High School and Florida State University and is a  Board member of the Clearwater For Youth and the Clearwater Alumni Association.  He is very active with Calvary Christian High School and Calvary Baptist Church. William and his family live in Clearwater.

Dana is a veteran insurance professional with a strong background in Property & Casualty Insurance, Workers’ Compensation, and Employee Benefits Insurance.  She began her insurance career in 1992 with the Unum Insurance as a Group Sales Representative and Field Underwriter. She became a P&C broker over 20 years ago and has managed insurance and risk management programs for employers in Florida and the Southeastern US ever since.

Dana specializes in developing risk management programs for large, multi-state commercial risks.

Born in Paris, France, Dana attended Florida State University and completed her formal education at the University of South Florida in 1992.  She is actively involved in the community where she serves as Vice Chairman of the Tampa Sports Authority, Trustee for The Florida Aquarium and Board of Directors for Feeding America Tampa Bay. Dana also serves on the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  Dana and her husband Jim and daughter Lauren reside in Tampa

Sean has worked in various parts of the insurance industry that have all lead him to his home as a Commercial Sales Executive at Brown & Brown Insurance.  Sean joined Brown & Brown in January of 2012 after working in the personal lines sales arena as well as the excess and surplus underwriting arena.  He enjoys interacting with everyone around him and getting involved in the community.  He is a member of Emerge Tampa Bay Young Professional Group, Greater Clearwater Chamber of Commerce and the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce.  He sits on various committees in each of these groups mainly focusing on community development, educational development and governmental affairs.  Sean also is President Elect of the Pinellas County Gator Club and serves on the advisory board for the Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation where he is an integral piece of the fundraising operations for the charity.

Kevin is a native of St. Petersburg, FL and comes from a family of contractors and developers. Before beginning his career he studied Business Management at Florida State University.   During his time in college, Kevin gained experience working in construction sales. He graduated in May of 2013, joined the Brown & Brown team in July, and graduated from Brown & Brown University P&C Sales School the following June. Kevin was Top Gun of the Pinellas office for 2014.  He has experience in writing technology companies, and companies with heavy vehicle schedules.

 Kevin is actively involved in his local community. He coached basketball with the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg, and is currently coaching baseball with Northeast Little League.

 In his free time Kevin enjoys paddle boarding, sports, woodworking, and spending time with family.

Dylan joined Brown & Brown Pinellas in August 2013.  His previous sales experience was with Johnson Brothers Liquor company as a territory manager.   During that time he was responsible for all the wine and liquor distribution of the Saint Petersburg area.   Dylan played D-1 soccer at West Virginia University before transferring  to Florida State University .  He graduated in 2010 with a degree in Finance.

Josh joined the Brown & Brown Pinellas team in October 2013. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2010 and is a devoted Gator fan. Outside of work, Josh spends his time volunteering for several local charities including the Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay, Metropolitan Ministries and The Children’s Cancer Center. Devin joined Brown and Brown in July of 2014. Prior to joining the Brown and Brown team, Devin pursued a career as a professional golfer. He played on various professional golf tours throughout the southeast part of the country.

Devin Graduated from the University of South Florida in 2013. He was a four year member of the golf team, and captain of the 2013 Big East Championship team. While competing in college, he also was very active in the golf community. Devin spent numerous summers volunteering in a variety of junior golf camps, clinics, and summer camps.

Andy began his career with Brown and Brown in November 2014. Prior to this he was the co-founder and co-owner of Lake Norman Brewing Company, a small business he and his father started in July of 2012.  The company brews and sells craft beer to the local area and at its brewery that was built by the two.  Before that Andy was heavily involved in the golf industry, working for world renowned golf instructor Jim McLean in Miami, FL. Andy graduated in 2011 from Methodist University located in Fayetteville, NC. There he was a business major while playing for the college golf team, earning Senior Scholar Athlete and Academic-All Conference honors.

James Petika began working at Brown & Brown in June of 2015 shortly after graduating from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. He was born and raised in Clearwater, FL.  and grew up with a passion for the outdoors. On the weekends, you will most likely find James  somewhere on the water, going fishing, or out on the golf course. James grew up around the game of baseball and has a lot of passion for the sport today. Outside of the office, James works closely with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as well as his Alma Mater, Eckerd College.

Jason started his career in the Financial Services industry where he served as a Financial Services Representative with MetLife. He graduated from Bryant University ,which is located in Smithfield, Rhode Island, with a concentration in Finance.
